Inconsiderate drivers, part 2: On picky taxi drivers

Posted on - in Life, Other Stories, Pregnancy

I really wonder why is that when it rains, taxi drivers get to be picky about their passengers or jack up their prices by 100%. To think that during this wet season, there is a higher demand for them.

And just when you think pregnant ladies get their sympathy… well, you thought wrong.

Had this very unfortunate experience yesterday going to the hospital for my check-up. Imagine, I was in the Ortigas area going to Medical City. All the taxis my husband and I hailed refused to give us a ride. Excuses such as “malayo kasi iikutan” or “ma-trapik” came out of their mouths. Like, whatever.

(Again, too unfortunate not to have listed their taxi names and plate numbers down.)

I wanted to blurt out that I’m freaking nine months pregnant and the least they could do was to be a gentleman and give this woman a ride amidst the rain.

Hays, so much for my preggy privilege.

Korek Ate, nakakabadtrip ang mga taxi drivers ngayon, msyadong mapili sa pasahero. Kapag wala namang sakay naiinis sila keso konti ang pasahero. Hays.

EDD is on June 27. OB says it may come a bit early than expected, though.

Nice. You surprised me with this one.
