MedelaMoms launches “Seeing Doubles” Multiples Support Group

When I was pregnant with my only daughter then, I vowed to have her breastfed. Breastfeeding has many benefits, not just physical (for one, babies are protected from certain illnesses) but also emotional (strengthens the bond between mother and child). And while my milk supply was rather “limited” (supplemented by formula), I made sure to prioritize giving Zee breastmilk whenever she was hungry.

I had a few issues with breastfeeding my only girl — what if I bore twins then? Now that can be quite a predicament (for me, at least).

And this kind of situation is what MedelaMoms is aiming to address with the launch of “Seeing Doubles”, a support group for moms with multiples.

Committed to being more than just the Philippines’ authorized distributor of one of the most trusted brands of breastfeeding products, MedelaMoms is all about supporting moms and babies in their breastfeeding journey. And that’s why the people behind MedelaMoms — Maricel Cua and Beng Feliciano — are inviting parents, especially those expecting multiples (twins), to the launch of “Seeing Doubles” on February 8, 2014, 9 AM at Medela House (29 1st Street, New Manila, QC). This event is a great opportunity for those who have questions of rearing multiples to learn a few tips from moms who have underwent the same experience.

Coinciding MedelaMom’s “Seeing Doubles” is the launch of Sweet Pea’s new line of cocktail/ formal nursing wear through a fashion show that is also be supported by Walnut Melbourne PH (which will supply the children’s footwear during the show). Celebrity moms Amanda Jacob and Marilen Faustino-Montenegro will be dropping by, along with their kids. Amanda will also have a book signing for her book, Project Mom, which she co-wrote with Bianca Araneta-Elizalde.

Entrance for MedelaMoms’ “Seeing Doubles” is free, but attendees are required to pre-register through 0917-8110821 or medelamoms@gmail.com. For more information, check out Medela Moms or Medela Breastfeeding Products on Facebook.

Thanks for the share… I promised myself that I will really work hard to breastfeed the next time I had a baby… and I was able to… and I talk so much about it at mommywisebabywise.com… partly to influence others to breastfeed like what you are doing here and because “nagyayabang ako”. hahahha
