Someone posted this comment on my previous Jejemon entry:
bakit lage na lang jejemon ang pinagdidiskitahan ano bang mali sa jejemon eh pareparehas lang namn tayo nag iimprove,,…!!!!
I had no intention of writing another post about Jejemons, but I guess I wanted to explain my answer to her question. I’m going to answer in sections.
1) Bakit lage na lang jejemon ang pinagdidiskitahan – As I’ve said in my answer to her comment, I wouldn’t call it “pinagdidiskitahan.” It’s more of like being talked about so much lately. Why? Because it’s the in-thing right now. Eto ang uso sa mga Pinoy ngayon. Because people are naturally curious, and they would want to know what Jejemon is and its history and why it’s spreading like wildfire.
Okay, so some would go as far as “pagdiskitahan” ang mga Jejemons because they are irritated by how they text. These people believe that it is the lack of intelligence that has created this monstrosity in human language. Or because they do not understand it and feel that it insults their intelligence. Or because they feel out of the loop because they don’t understand what the Jejemons are talking about. Hence, “pinagdidiskitahan.”
2) Ano bang mali sa jejemon – I believe that being a Jejemon is just being able to express himself/herself, so is there anything wrong with self-expression? It depends on who’s looking, I guess. Of course, the so-called Jejebusters would say that their spelling and grammar is wrong and all.
I find nothing wrong with it, the texting and the fashion just irritates me. Forgive me, but I’m not that young anymore and my brain refuses to decipher a Jeje-cryptic text message in just a few seconds. I’m pretty impatient with those kinds of things. I also believe that if someone texts me, it’s because it’s important. There is no need to mask it in numerous Xs, Qs, and Hs.
My brain also cannot comprehend the rationale behind the manner in which a trucker cap is worn. A sudden gust could easily remove the cap from your head. Someone could just snatch it from you in seconds. And the gait and posture that comes with wearing the trucker cap. Doesn’t your neck hurt if you go on like that for hours?
Again, I don’t find it wrong. I just don’t understand.
3) Pareparehas lang namn tayo nag iimprove,,…!!!! – Now this I don’t get. Improving in what aspect? If the commenter could clarify this, I might just answer the question.
Was that a question? I realized it was written with 4 exclamation points, with 2 commas and an ellipsis preceding it…
Whatever I say here does not necessarily reflect the opinions of others. Personal blog nga e.
Again, as I’ve said in my previous Jejemon post, I am no hater. Hate is such a strong word. I will admit, though, that to some extent, it irritates me because I do not understand. I try to, though.
Besides, the Jejemons add color to our lives. Without them, what’s there to talk about?
Oh yeah, there’s the new administration…
Someone also sent me a link to a real Jejemon blog. I must say, read at your own risk.
