It’s already December and I have yet to go Christmas shopping. Geez. I already have ideas on what to give the members of my family and my husband. But with Zee, hubby and I are in the dark.
Well, I guess it’s a must that we’d have to give her something with Dora the Explorer’s face on it.
She absolutely likes her. And Boots. And Map. And Backpack. Though 30 minutes of Dora won’t really keep her still in one place, once she sees her, she’ll point and squeal and stuff.
[Sidebar: My parents, uncle, aunt, and grandma tagged her along when they went to Trinoma and Eastwood Mall yesterday. What do you know, they bought for her a lunchbox and a gift tag with Dora’s face on it. They said Zee didn’t want to let go of them and cried when they tried taking them away. They ended up shelling Php150++ for her that day. My dad told me, albeit jokingly, “Pag kasama n’yo yan mamili, mamumulubi kayo. Kung anu-ano gusto.” Dang.]
We were set on giving her anything Dora when I saw this at Toys R Us:
I was the one who ended up squealing (kami lang naman ni hubby ang magkasama). Kai Lan was another character she likes. She knows the intro song (waves along with it, too) and the “I got it!” bit. Yeah, she’s a Nick Jr. baby. She also likes Wonderpets (which also has a Mega Bloks version), Team Umizoomi, and Yo Gabba Gabba.
Unfortunately, I have to wait 2 more years before she could play with the Ni Hao, Kai Lan Mega Bloks. The box says for kids 3+. Oh well.
Still undecided what to give her this Christmas. But for sure she’ll have a new wardrobe that will make her win the Best Dressed recognition (again) from my grandma.
And shoes, of course. Squeaky shoes #2. Just so her months-old footwear can rest for a while.
