Paper Anniversary
Been a rough-and-tumble 5 years, but it’s not without highlights. So hubby and I made it a point to celebrate our Paper Wedding Anniversary.
Since our daughter was a bit sick during the week, we chose to just eat out rather than eat and watch a movie. Besides, the film hubby wanted to watch isn’t showing anymore in the Podium and SM Megamall theater (he wanted to catch Wolverine). We also decided to go out for dinner a day before the actual anniversary, and after work. Since our anniversary falls on a special holiday (Eid’l Fitr here), we’d have a bit of difficulty slipping out of the house without my daughter catching us. Hehe!
We wanted to dine somewhere we haven’t gone before, so we went to Ang Mo Kio in Podium.

We ordered Char Kway Teow (since hubby wanted to eat noodles), Roti Prata with Indian Curry Sauce (my default order when in a Singaporean/ Thai/ hawker-style resto), 4 pieces of Chicken Satay, Wintermelon Juice, and a mango sago dessert (forgot the actual name).

Our whole meal cost us a little over PHP600. A bit pricey by my standards, but the taste and servings of the food were very much worth it.
I think among the Singaporean/ hawker-style restaurants we’ve been to (Nasi Lemak in Galleria and My Singaporean in SM Megamall), Ang Mo Kio is the best (for me, so far) in terms of taste and serving size. Price-wise, still good. I would like to dine here again, even just for the Roti Prata. 🙂

Friday, the actual day of the anniversary, was pretty much ordinary, save for the surprise Jollibee Spaghetti and Chickenjoy dinner given by my parents. And a few greetings here and there.
I didn’t expect much, anyway, so it was cool.
As my hubby says, any day can be our anniversary anyways. 🙂
