Rosaries for Hannah — you can help, too

Posted on - in Life, Other Stories

Just when I thought I had nothing to post today, a topic in a forum caught my attention.

The post was about a cute 1-year old girl who has a condition called Congenital Central Hypoventilation Syndrome or CCHS. It is a lifetime condition wherein this girl, named Hannah, is not able to breathe when she is asleep, as her brain fails to signal her organs to do so. Her breathing is currently being aided by a ventilator that is attached to a tube found in an opening on her neck. The post also had a link to a website made by her parents, complete with updates and pictures of little Hannah. Such a cute kid, it breaks my heart to learn of her medical condition.

Hannah’s Multiply website also has an online store wherein her parents sell decade rosaries and rosary bracelets. Sales from these customized products would go to Hannah’s medication, as well as to families of other kids in the same situation.

As a soon-to-be mom, this post pretty much tugs my heart. That’s why I’m also spreading this around so that, maybe if you’re looking for a special gift for someone or probably souvenirs or stuff, you could consider these items — they aren’t just pretty and unique, you can also help bring a smile to a child’s, and his/her parents’ face.
