The “un-perks” of marriage

Posted on - in Life, Married Life

It’s been more than a month since we got married (and since I changed employment). While it’s a great feeling to start spending our whole lives together, there are those “un-perks” of it.

– Hubby can’t buy the toys he wants anymore. Unless he asks permission from me.

– The company of our single friends. Either they’re trying their luck abroad or they just faded away.

– Not being updated of those happy happenings. Since we don’t see much of them anymore (and I left the only “base” where I maintained contact with almost everybody), updates are limited to Twitter and Plurk.

– No more night-outs. No more tea parties, movie premieres, videokes and the like.

And there’s the sense that “I can’t do that anymore because I’m married already.”

Well, it’s going to be a big adjustment for both of us. At least we’re together on this one.
