Zee and her love for the Disney Princesses
I honestly don’t remember introducing my eldest daughter formally to the Disney Princesses. But at a young age, she’s already enamored with them. Her first favorite Disney Princess was Snow White. I don’t know, maybe because of her very fresh features (not counting Sofia the First, I think she’s the youngest Disney Princess by age). When the movie “Brave” came out, she liked Merida that she would imagine being her, bow and arrow included. Zee looked the part with her unruly wavy hair, hehe!
When “Frozen” was released, Elsa became her favorite Disney Princess. My folks and I were asking if she wanted to be Princess Anna, because that is actually her first name, but she was insistent that she was Queen Elsa of Arendelle (especially now that she has a younger sister, so that makes her all the more relate to Elsa).
Over the years, she learned about the other Disney Princesses. And during role play, she’d pretend to be any of them (currently, she’s Rapunzel from “Tangled” — she’d tie my shawl at the end of her ponytail, stand on the sofa, and let down her “hair” on cue). Zee loved them so much that on her 6th birthday, we decided to use that as a party theme (well, it was just the family, but still a party).
That’s why I’m so thrilled to learn that this year’s Disney On Ice will feature some of her favorite characters on the show. This year’s Disney On Ice Magical Ice Festival has Rapunzel, Belle, and Ariel, plus the characters of “Frozen” including Elsa and Anna! We’ll sure be watching it this holiday season — and I’m sure she’ll be filled with joy just seeing the Disney Princesses do spins, turns, and jumps on ice.
You can watch Elsa, Anna, Ariel, Belle, and Rapunzel plus Mickey Mouse and the gang on Disney On Ice Magical Ice Festival, too! The event will be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum from December 25, 2015 to January 3, 2016. Tickets are priced starting from PHP 175 up, which you can buy from www.ticketnet.com.ph. Show schedules are as follows:
If your children love Disney and the Disney Princesses, take them to the show! This will surely make their Christmas vacation much more special than it already is. 🙂
